Feinwerkbau Grip Sets: Build Spotlight – Feinwerkbau 800x

Feinwerkbau have produced some phenomenal rifles in the past, normally for the 10m Air Rifle discipline. With the 800x FT, Feinwerkbau threw their hat into the ring with a dedicated 12ft/lb Field Target platform that has seen good uptake by the FT and HFT fraternities. The 800x is more challenging to inlet than a lot of other chassis based rifles, but is worth the effort for such a well-engineered rifle. I can support virtually any Feinwerkbau rifle that requires a Custom Feinwerkbau Grip-Set, although older actions may require the rifle to stay with me for initial fitting purposes.

The build shown was in a really nice varied black/silver laminate that had much more variation in the grain than normal. The owner chose to retain the factory hamster attachment blocks, leading to a unique and rather attractive hamster shape, although a UIT rail is present on the chassis so a regular post setup or a multi adjust unit is also an easy addition. The factory grip and cheek mounting points on the rifle are incredibly capable units, so usually it is just a case of making the parts to fit for the back end. As with all my Custom Feinwerkbau Grip sets, the grip is meticulously fitted to the new owners hand using precise measurements and where appropriate a fitting session.
